the midsize SUV category.

The Kia Sportage was launched in South Africa in September 2022 with a feature rich package and excellent performance courtesy of the 1.6-litre turbocharged GDI engine. The punchy 1.6 T-GDI powertrain is available in the three GT-Line models in the range. The 1 598cc turbocharged direct injection engine delivers 132kW at 5 500rpm and 265Nm from 1 500rpm

The range was expanded last year with the addition if a 1.6 litre diesel engine that combines frugality and performance. The 1 582ccc common rail direct injection diesel engine delivers 100kW of power at 4 000rpm and 320Nm from 2000rpm. This engine is paired with Kia’s seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that assists this model in striking an optimal balance between power, performance and frugality at a value for money price point.

Family focussed interior : The interior is designed with families in mind as the cabin has been carefully crafted to fuse breakthrough technology with luxury features, premium materials and modern style.

At the centre of the Sportage’s modern cabin sits a beautifully sculpted integrated curved display with a slim touchscreen and finely detailed air vents. The curved display sweeps across the front of the interior, giving the cockpit dramatic width and depth. The high-tech 12.3-inch touchscreen acts as the nerve centre
for the driver and passenger connectivity, functionality and usability needs.

Throughout the cabin, the highest quality materials that are sumptuous to the touch have been used. The intelligent use of space results in class-leading legroom, headroom and luggage capacity including 996mm of legroom for second-row passengers and 1000mm of headroom, while luggage capacity measures an impressive 591 litres.
