Kia scoops four awards at 2024 What Car? Awards

Kia has won four awards at the 2024 What Car? Car of the Year awards, including major category wins for the Kia Sportage and Kia EV6.
Kia wins Tow Car Award for its wide choice of towing capable cars : Kia also won the ‘Tow Car Award’, normally reserved for an individual vehicle, but this year recognising Kia’s wide range of capable towing cars. The judges felt that the Kia brand was most deserving of the award for the way in which it consistently builds brilliant tow cars, in diesel, hybrid or even fully electric configuration. Several of Kia’s cars offer a high towing capacity, including the popular Sportage, Sorento, EV6 and EV9, the latter which offers a braked towing capacity of up to 2 500kg in all-wheel drive, dual motor format.
Kia EV6 wins Best Family Electric SUV: The Kia EV6 continues to set the standards in the EV class and in 2024 it was awarded the 2024 Best Family Electric SUV award ahead of several newcomers in an increasingly competitive segment. The Kia EV6 was praised for its great battery range, fast charging, fine ride and handling balance and generous equipment levels at a competitive price. Despite its sleek looks the EV6 remains practical,offering loads of space in both the front and rear and a good-sized boot. The EV6 offers a driving range of up to 520km and is available in rear or all-wheel drive models, as well as the high-performance
EV6 GT model, which can accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 3.5 seconds.
Kia EV9 awarded best electric seven-seater: The all-new Kia EV9 was also awarded the Best Electric seven-seater prize following praise from judges for its capabilities compared to its rivals with the Kia EV9 offering comfortable seating for seven adults in a package that is well priced compared to its rivals. Thanks to a generous official range, the EV9 can tackle long trips without having to worry where the next charge is coming from. The EV9 offers a comprehensive range of equipment, a bold and modern design and the latest EV technology offered by Kia. The rear-wheel drive EV9 Air is capable of travelling up to 560km on a single
charge while the all-wheel drive GT-Line and GT-Line S can travel up to 500km on a single charge.
